Dino on the loose
The Dino originated in 1995 when I had just moved to The Netherlands. Due to circumstances beyond our influence(amongst others, if you want a decent meal every day then play anything but electric jazz) our first appearance on the jazz-scene was quite brief, approximately a year. But we were so contend, musically spoken, about our first stint around that a revival was always in the planning, and now we’re finally back. And except for the bass-player, Martin Dress is the new kid on the block, it’s with the original line-up.
But as you may know, a CD is almost crucial to a band these days, so as a consequence our first task was to begin recording the content needed for such a thing. Five tunes brand-new tunes were recorded in July ’97 and if everything goes as planned we’ll finish the proceedings in the spring of 2008. The recordings, or at least part of them, will then be offered as downloads here.
No band can survive without circulation so I’m now in the process of convincing club-owners to hire us. Should they choose to do so(and how they possible do otherwise), then we’ll guarantee a groovy night out. So grab a few mp3’s and if you like what you hear come back and check our agenda.
